Empowering rural communities for sustainable development
CHIP's Nisargavedh presents an excellent opportunity for the local community to enhance their nursery management and environmental conservation skills. CHIP boasts of a strong woman workforce in its plant nurseries. The team consisting entirely of women who uses cultivation techniques like pruning, root reduction, defoliating and grafting to produce, style and shape bonsais along with full-sized trees.
This project has generated at an average 3300 working hours per month by engaging people in the various forest chores, giving the community prolonged access to employment.
By organising various camps and spreading physical health awareness in the new and old villages of Wakeshwar, Bothali, Waranga and Dongargaon we help the local community to progress towards a holistic development.
