Restoring forests and expanding green cover for a sustainable future
To aid the protection of planted saplings from cattle and man-made threats, this project fulfils an important line of defense and demarcation of the project area.
In order to ensure a regulated and consistent irrigation, supply of water through drip irrigation is set up throughout the forest to provide adequate water for plants to survive and thrive.
Carefully nurtured and prepared saplings are planted in the pits prepared via established methods undertaken to ensure the survival.
SMC works like loose boulder structures, gabion structures, van talav, water trenches, etc. are made to ensure water conservation and retainment of moisture in soil.
Post plantation, regular monitoring, caring and replacement, if necessary are made to ensure the plants' sustained health and survival.
