Preserving our most precious resource for future generations
Water conservation encompasses the preservation, management and development of surface and groundwater resources as well as the prevention of water pollution.
CHIP-Nagpur's initiative aiming to conserve water consists of drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting, building of gabion and loose boulder structures, trench digging and the construction of dams and water bodies.
The provision of food, energy, and nutrients derived from soil contributes to civic necessities while simultaneously reducing the effects of climate change and fostering a healthy environment. Additionally, these initiatives result in overall soil conservation in the long term.
